Are you looking for a rewarding way to give back to our community?
Are you looking for a way to really contribute in a meaningful way? If so, The Frye Festival might be the option for you.
How will this experience benefit you?
Not only will you have fun and meet interesting new people such as authors, teachers and other volunteers, you will also be a part of a home-grown success story. Volunteers will have the chance to win prizes and volunteer awards and will be invited to the annual Volunteer Appreciation Party. If you’ve ever considered volunteering in your community this could be perfect for you.
Here are some options:
Logistics Volunteer
Do you like being in the heat of the action? Do you enjoy giving a hand with administrative and production work? If so, we need your help! As a logistics volunteer, you will help the production team assemble kits, put up decorations and welcome both participants and authors. These tasks often come up before the Festival officially starts, so let us know when you're available!
Transportation Volunteer
Do you like to meet new people? Do you take pride in showing our beautiful region to others? If so, you could become a transportation volunteer! Transportation volunteers pick up authors at the Delta Beauséjour and bring them to various schools where they will be meeting with students for the Authors in Schools program. Once you arrive at the school, you will help the author find the contact person, and you will bring the author back to the hotel.
Ticket booth Volunteer
Are you a welcoming person that likes to take part in Festival events? As a ticket booth volunteer, your work will be very important. In addition to handling ticket sales, you will be asked to put up signs for the event and keep track of the number of people attending the various events.
Research Volunteer
You're outgoing? You enjoy conducting research? Become a research volunteer!
We truly appreciate your contribution and we want to make sure you know it -in addition to being in the middle of the action during the Festival, Frye volunteers are also invited to the best Volunteer Appreciation party around!
