Rawi Hage by Babak Salari

In November of 2007, over 1,000 readers from across South-Eastern New Brunswick came to various events to meet Yann Martel and discuss Life of Pi for the Frye Festival’s first-ever Community Read.  We have since repeated the experience with Kathy Reichs and Neil Smith.

Thanks to the support of the Government of Canada, through the Promotion of Linguistic Duality component of the Official Languages Support Programs, we’re excited to bring another Community Read event to Moncton this October...

On October 15th, at 7pm, come join us at Moncton City Hall for our 4th Community Read with Rawi Hage - a Montreal writer originally from Lebanon.  His debut novel, De Niro's Game, has one many prizes including the prestigious IMPAC Dublin Literary award. Admission for this bilingual event is $10.

Want to read some of Rawi Hage’s work before the event?  Pick up a copy of De Niro's Game (Parfum de poussière, en français), his award-winning debut novel.  Don’t have time to read the whole thing?  Have a peek at our Reading Guide...
