Colleen Kitts-Goguen is a veteran writer and broadcaster with CBC New Brunswick, based in Fredericton. She is the provincial afternoon news editor/reader and often works as a program host on Information Morning Fredericton and Shift. During a break in her journalism career, she worked in publishing with Goose Lane Editions. Colleen grew up in downtown Moncton and used to borrow stacks of books at the Moncton Public Library. Still a voracious reader and book lover, she sponsors a children's book prize, along with her sister, Wendy Kitts. The Alice Kitts Memorial Award for Excellence in Children's Writing is awarded annually as part of the New Brunswick Book Awards.
