Neither a fairy nor an accomplished athlete, Chloé Varin never stopped herself from inflecting a little magic and lots of adventure in the stories she writes. A part-time traveller and full-time lover of animals, she is the author of about 15 books, most of which are for children.
She jumped into children’s literature in 2012 with the series Planches d’enfer and published several young adult fiction titles (Casting, Les ensorceleuses, Dali) before turning to comics (Vendredi 13) and illustrated books (À qui la frite?, the Chloé et moi series). Her literary world is filled with humour and suspense and finds uniqueness in the strong personalities of her female characters.
Since 2009, Chloé Varin has facilitated roundtable discussions and has interviewed authors for various literary events. She is also a book columnist for several media outlets, including Le Journal de Montréal, Salut Bonjour Weekend (TVA), and Plus on est de fous, plus on lit! (Radio-Canada Première). She currently sits on the Board of Directors of Communication-Jeunesse as Vice-President.
