Pierre Labrie has been giving presentations, talks, writing and literacy workshops, and poetry shows for 20 years. He is the author of several books for adults and children, many of which have won awards. He received the Prix de la littérature Gérald-Godin in 2015 for À minuit. Changez la date, and the Prix littéraire des enseignants AQPF-ANEL in 2013 for Nous sommes ce continent and in 2015 for Un gouffre sous mon lit, which also won him the Grand Prix de littérature jeunesse de la Montérégie. He won the Prix littéraire des enseignants AQPF-ANEL again in 2018 for La poésie, c’est juste trop beurk! and the Prix de poésie Rina-Lasnier in 2011 for Mémoires analogues and in 2014 for Ajouts actuels aux révélations. He published two new books of poetry for children in 2019, Mon coeur après la pluie, a finalist for the 2019 Governor General’s Literary Awards and for the 2020 Tamarac prize from the Ontario Libraries Association, and Des poèmes pour la route.
