Dominique Bernier-Cormier

Dominique Bernier-Cormier spent the summers of his childhood in Cocagne, but grew up in Moscow, Paris and Beijing, where his father worked as a foreign correspondent for CBC and Radio-Canada. He received The Fiddlehead's Ralph Gustafson Prize for Best Poem in 2017, and his work has been shortlisted for the Montreal International Poetry Prize, ARC Poetry Magazine's Poem of the Year Award and a National Magazine Award. His first book, Correspondent, was published by icehouse (Goose Lane Editions) in 2018. He is currently working on a book of poetry about his ancestor escaping Fort Beauséjour by wearing his wife's clothes.
