*SOLD OUT* Writing the Ordinary
Heure et lieu
Novelist, columnist, and humorist Lesley Crewe got into writing as a way to avoid housework, but writing 11 books in 15 years and becoming one of the Maritimes’ most beloved and bestselling authors means she’s doing something right!
This is a workshop for writers, new or experienced, who are looking for tips and tricks to move their project forward. Tips for getting a novel going even if you don’t fully grasp how to create a narrative voice or how to structure a book. Tips also for turning the simple things of our daily lives into stories and translating the mundane into a heartwarming celebration of the little things, whether as fiction or non-fiction.
This workshop is presented in collaboration with the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick (WFNB). It will be followed by a Q&A with Lesley Crewe on her new (and witty and funny) collection of columns, Are you Kidding Me?!
Lesley Crewe is the author of several novels, including Mary, Mary, Amazing Grace, Chloe Sparrow, Kin, and Relative Happiness, which has been adapted into a feature film. Previously a columnist and freelance writer, Lesley lives in Homeville, Nova Scotia. Visit her at lesleycrewe.com.
