Thandiwe McCarthy is a writer, spoken word poet and 7th generation Black Canadian. His essays have been published by the Nova Scotia Advocate. He has performed his poetry during Afrofest 2019, University of New Brunswick’s 2020 Art Centre exhibit ‘Rediscovering the Roots of Black New Brunswickers’, and in February 2020 performed in front of Fredericton City Council. He lives in Fredericton and graduated with a degree in Recreation Management and Wellness from UNB.
