Literary Lunch: To Place a Rabbit
This novel begins when a scientist who has written a popular book of non-fiction attends a literary festival, where she strikes up a friendship with a charismatic novelist. The novelist reveals that her new work is an experiment: a novella she wrote in English only to have it translated and published solely in French—a language the novelist cannot read. Moreover, she has lost her original English manuscript of this work. Hearing this, the scientist, who is fluent in French, impulsively offers to retranslate the novella back into English for the novelist.
As she embarks on this task, the scientist finds herself haunted by vivid memories and distracting questions. These insert themselves into her translation process, troubling it, then disrupting it entirely. She desperately tries to complete her task before losing control of both the work and her well-organized existence.

Literary Lunch: Foe
Junior and Hen are a quiet married couple. They live a comfortable, solitary life on their farm, far from the city lights, but in close quarters with each other. One day, a stranger from the city arrives with surprising news: Junior has been randomly selected to travel far away from the farm...very far away. The most unusual part? Arrangements have already been made so that when he leaves, Hen won’t have a chance to miss him at all, because she won’t be left alone—not even for a moment. Hen will have company. Familiar company.
Foe examines the nature of domestic relationships, self-determination, and what it means to be (or not to be) a person. An eerily entrancing page-turner, it churns with unease and suspense from the first words to its shocking finale.

Epistola : Table ronde
Épistola (Épître en français). Le terme épître est un mot archaïque, issu du latin epistola, du grec επιστολη (epistolē), qui désigne une lettre (au sens de correspondance).
L’auteur·e envoie une enveloppe par la poste à l’artiste. Celle-ci peut contenir un mot, un poème, une phrase, une photo, un objet, etc. L’artiste répond également par la poste avec une image, un objet, une lettre: la correspondance dure environ deux mois. Les correspondances servent de point de départ pour la création de l’exposition.
Le résultat du projet sera en montre à la galerie de l’Atelier d’estampe Imago au premier étage du Centre culturel Aberdeen pendant le Festival Frye à partir du 24 avril 2026.
