The Department of Canadian Heritage and its Portfolio organizations play a vital role in the cultural, civic and economic life of Canadians. Our policies and programs promote an environment where Canadians can experience dynamic cultural expressions, celebrate our history and heritage and build strong communities.

The Canada Council for the Arts is proud to be Canada’s public arts funder. The Council contributes to the vibrancy of a creative and diverse arts and literary scene through grants, services, prizes and payments to artists and arts organizations from Canada.

The Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture is responsible for fostering economic growth, pride of place, and promotion of our province. We are also responsible for providing art and culture programs, heritage conservation, grants and funding for museums, sport, arts, culture and heritage and overseeing provincial parks.

The City of Moncton is pleased to support local organizations through its Annual Community Grant Program. Organizations that provide support to city programs or enhance residents' quality of life may be eligible for a municipal grant. 

As a national public broadcaster, CBC/Radio-Canada supports democratic life and promotes Canadian culture by offering a wide range of content that informs, educates, and entertains. This multiplatform public service broadcaster provides a distinctly Canadian perspective on current events, not only in both official languages, but also in eight Indigenous languages and several foreign languages. In addition to reflecting the country’s regional and multicultural diversity, the organization plays a central role in strengthening national identity by making its news, sports, and entertainment programming accessible across the country, from traditional radio to streaming.
