Georgette LeBlanc is a poet, novelist, translator, and transdisciplinary artist whose work draws on the mythologies, history, and lived experiences of Acadia. A former Official Poet of the Parliament of Canada, she is the author of numerous award-winning books, including *Alma*, *Amédé*, *Océan*, and *Petits poèmes sur mon père qui est mort*. Her literary achievements have been recognized with the Governor General’s Literary Award (Translation), the Champlain Prize, the Émile-Ollivier Prize, the Félix-Leclerc Prize, as well as several creation grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and ArtsNB. Her work appears in anthologies, journals, and festivals in Canada and internationally, and she regularly collaborates with visual artists, choreographers, filmmakers, and musicians. She holds a Ph.D. in Francophone Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has focused her research and creative work on the intersections of ethnology and literature. She currently lives and works in Moncton, where she is developing new literary projects.
