Originally from Haiti, Phiautha Eulodie Dantiste moved to New Brunswick to pursue her studies, specifically at the Université de Moncton, Moncton Campus. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism Management in 2018. Having fallen in love with the city during her studies, she decided to settle permanently in the Greater Moncton area. Her entire career has been in the community sector, working with youth, books, and now immigration. With a passion for effective management, she recently completed a program in contemporary management at the University of Moncton. Phiautha is also deeply involved in the community and contributes by serving on several boards of directors and committees, particularly in the arts. She is a poet, playwright, dancer, filmmaker, host, and actress. As a poet, she has been published in Ancrages (a virtual literary journal in Acadia) and in Exit (a poetry journal in Montreal). Her films were screened at the 37th edition of FICFA. Growing up in a multicultural environment, she wants everyone to be proud of their culture because she believes it is their identity.
