Christiane Vadnais is a novelist, short story writer, and screenwriter. Her fiction explores the instability of reality, the transformation of the body, and the intimate connections between living beings. Her first book, Faunes, won her the Prix des Horizons imaginaires, the Prix du CALQ – Œuvre de la relève dans la Capitale-Nationale, and the Prix de création littéraire de la Ville de Québec et du Salon international du livre de Québec. It was also translated by Pablo Strauss and published as Fauna by Coach House Books in 2020. She has just published Les ressources naturelles, her second ecofiction novel, with Éditions Alto.
