Daughter of Taiwanese immigrants to Canada, Carole Chan was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She studied and worked internationally in the fields of law, diplomacy, arts and culture, education, as well as publishing. As a bilingual lawyer, she works with local businesses and international corporations on complex transactions, strategic planning, corporate governance, and project management. She specializes in regulatory, environmental, Indigenous, privacy, and technology law and has supported various economic development initiatives in Atlantic Canada. Mother of three young children, Carole Chan calls Moncton ‘home’ since 2006. She is passionate about enhancing participatory democracy, sustainable communities, and active living.
